For years I bounced between grinding away at exercise to get 'skinny' and giving it up altogether. It was exhausting and chipped away at my self-worth. Then one day the penny finally dropped: the real impact of exercise is on my mind, not my weight.
When I started chasing how movement made me feel, clearer headspace, steadier moods, more energy, everything changed:
- I became consistent because the payoff is daily, not just when a number shifts
- I began prioritising workouts because strength and confidence matter all year round
- I stopped waiting for “weight-loss motivation” and focused on the life I want to lead

Farm-run fun with my son He’s training for cross-country, so we hit the paddocks together. Mid-stride I thought, 'How special is it that I can do this with him?' - I can't wait for more battles 😜!
Feeling fit, strong and confident on stage When I look after myself, I step up in every area - family, work, community, with confidence to burn.
Balanced nurtition that works for real life Eating well at home gives me flexibility when I’m out. Energy is high, guilt is low, and I’m enjoying the moments that matter.
HIIT that energises, not exhausts Our peri to post menopause optimised HIIT sessions leave me buzzing instead of wiped out. Reaching true high intensity with a long rest is working really well for me and I'm celebrating that!
Weights trending up Each week the weights get a little heavier. I feel it in day to day life too — the results are black and white.
Training for my body, not against it And the biggest win of all... My training, research and qualitifcations in peri to post menopause has created this shift. Years of learning about women’s health has flipped my mindset. Now I train to support hormones, joints and future me #trainingnotdraining.
